Empowerment of Communities
We aspire to empower Tanzania communities particularly youths by enabling them engage in agricultural activities. The empowerment will make the youths be involved in deciding their own lives today, future and the fate of the country’s economy and social welfare. The youths must work out to their best for they are the majority of the community thus, making them the most vulnerable group of getting victimized for any segregation in planning todays way of living and the fate of the Country.
In this we also aim to make it easy to access information on people involved in agriculture, their products and prices. We will also bring to light the areas that needs some improvement for other stakeholders to take initiative and partner with us in addressing such challenges.
Innovation
We are delighted to take steps to bring into light any innovative ideas in improving and developing agriculture in Tanzania. A good number of innovative ideas end up being written, read by some people and thrown in bins and burnt in incinerators with no further steps as most of the ones in decision making bodies are not very aware of youths challenges.
KITUJA,aims at making youth put up their innovations and will take them into actions by providing the innovators with consultancy, network and infrastructure to carry out the activities to topple such innovation to the heights of the world and the Country.
Community Transformation
Any nonworking member of the community if asked as to what his/her occupation, the answer is expected to be a farmer. This is because farming is perceived to be only for those who are poor and who cannot do any other job. We aim to take into our shoulders the frontline responsibility of changing the narrative of agricultural activities. Through agriculture we will oversee the establishment of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s), Small processing industries and local community operated markets. In doing this we will partner with stakeholders like banks, insurance companies, other CSOs, International Organizations and the like.
STRATEGIC STRENGTH
Having team of committed,skilled,enthusiastic and talented youth coming from the families of small scale farmers and Pastoralists who are eager to change the notion of farming and livestock keeping among members of the society is of greater importance as is a thread to a needle.
As it is always said, “If you want to change the community, be the change yourself”. Our team is formed by young men and women who believe in their abilities and are taking initiative to spread the seed of change to others. All youths and stakeholders who are willing to change the story of agriculture and development in Tanzania are encouraged to share with us by working with us.
